Hooray we have some warm weather. Here is a dress i have devised with the inspiration of Tinkerbell. I have wrote sizes T1,T2,T3 and T4 years. Today we are going to make T1. The pattern for all sizes will soon be in my etsy store.
so lets get started.
You will need
5 balls of rico design fashion romeo/julia or 304yards/278m of aran cotton yarn
4.5 and 5mm crochet hook
scissors
tape measure
tapestry needle
Abbreviations (US terminology)
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
dc: double crochet
sk: skip
ss: slip stitch
rnd(s): round(s)
st(s): stitch(s)
f/o: fasten off
The dress is made in one piece consisting of 2 parts the bodice and the dress part.
T1 Bodice (with 4.5mm)
Ch15 +1
Row 1: sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, sc into the next st and all the other stitches across the row and turn. (15)
from now on we will be working in the back loops until we have completed the bodice.
Row 2: ch1, 1sc into every st across and turn. (15)
rows 3-68: repeat row 2. DO NOT fasten off.
Joining the two ends together match st for st with a ss. We will be now working in the round.
T1 Dress (with 5mm)
Rnd 1: ch1 and turn, make 70 sc around, ss to join. (70 sts)
Rnd 2: repeat rnd 1. (70 sts)
Rnd 3: ss1, ch3, dc into 4 sts, 3dc ch2 3dc into the next sts, dc into the next 5 sts, * sk3, dc into 5 sts, 3dc ch2 3dc into the next, dc into the next 5 sts, repeat from * 3 more times, ss to join.
Rnd 4:ss 2, ch3, dc into 5 sts, 3dc ch2 3dc into the next sts, dc into the next 6 sts, * sk3, dc into 6 sts, 3dc ch2 3dc into the next, dc into the next 6 sts, repeat from * 3 more times, ss to join.
Rnd 5:ss 2, ch3, dc into 6 sts, 3dc ch2 3dc into the next sts, dc into the next 7 sts, * sk3, dc into 7 sts, 3dc ch2 3dc into the next, dc into the next 7 sts, repeat from * 3 more times, ss to join.
Rnd 6:ss 2, ch3, dc into 7 sts, 3dc ch2 3dc into the next sts, dc into the next 8 sts, * sk3, dc into 8 sts, 3dc ch2 3dc into the next, dc into the next 8 sts, repeat from * 3 more times, ss to join.
Rnd 7:ss 2, ch3, dc into 8 sts, 3dc ch2 3dc into the next sts, dc into the next 9 sts, * sk3, dc into 9 sts, 3dc ch2 3dc into the next, dc into the next 9 sts, repeat from * 3 more times, ss to join.
Rnd 8-13: continue the patterns of the previous rnds until you have 17 sts at each side of the 3dc ch3 3dc.
Rnd 14: ch1, sc into 19 sts, 3sc into the ch2 sp, sc into the next 19 sts, *sk1, sc for 19 sts, 3 sc into the ch2 sp, sc into the next 19 sts, repeat from * 3 more times, ss to join and f/o.
Finishings (optional)
If you don't want to make straps the dress could be a little skirt too.
join your yarn in the seam in the back if the dress.
Rnd 1: ch1 make 70 sc around, ss to join. (70 sts)
Rnd 2: ch1 and turn, sc in to every st, ss to join, f/o and weave in ends. (70 sts)
place markers in 13th, 23rd, 49th and 59th sts for strap placement.
Straps make 4 (with 4.5mm)
This is a guideline you can change it for your garment.
join your yarn in the the marked sts ch 30, f/o and weave in ends.
