Hi guys, so like I promised on Instagram here we have the pattern for my pumpkin patch ami.
grab your self a
- 4.5 mm hook
- some yarn, I used Katia marathon yarn (Orange) scrap yarn for the stalk, eyes and mouth (brown and black)
- polyester stuffing
- needle
- stitch marker
Abbreviations (US terminology)
mc: magic circle sc: single crochet
ss: slip stitch f/o: fasten off
rnd: round st(s): stitch(s)
sc2tog: single crochet 2 together
We start with the stalk
Make a mc with 6 sc, place a stitch marker in the last stitch.
working in the back loops for this rnd only.
Rnd 1: 1 sc in every st around, move up your marker. (6)
Rnd 2-4: 1 sc in every st around, moving up marker after every rnd. (6)
Rnd 5: 2 sc in every stitch around, change colour, move up marker. (12)
Rnd 6: 1 sc in every st around, move up marker. (12)
Rnd 7: 2 sc in every st around, move up marker. (24)
Rnd 8: repeat rnd 6. (24)
Rnd 9: *2 sc in the 1st st, 1 sc into the next, repeat from * until you reach your marker, move up your marker. (36)
Rnds 10-15: repeat rnd 8. (36)
Rnd 16: sc2tog, 1sc in the next, repeat from * until you meet your marker, move up your marker. (24)
Rnd 17: 1 sc into every st, move up your marker. (24)
Rnd 18: *sc2tog, repeat from * to marker. move up marker. (12)
Rnd 19: repeat rnd 17. (12)
stuff your pumpkin at this point
Rnd 20: repeat rnd 18. (6)
close up your pumpkin and weave in your ends.
Eyes (make 2)
ch 2
Row 1: 2sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, ch 1 and turn. (2)
Row 2: 2sc into the 1st st, 1 sc into the next, ch1 and turn. (3)
Row 3-4: 1 sc into every st across, f/o at the end of row 4. (3)
For the mouth, I sew it one on, I will let you decide how you want to do that. Here is a good tutorial to help with sewing faces to amigurumi skip to 14:20 for the mouth part.
