| Day 1 full table |
This weekend I did my first Christmas market (Marcher Noel) I really enjoyed it but I found it really tiring. I did not sell very much, the 1st day I sold a pair of baby booties which were very inexpensive, considering I was sat there for 7 hours I was a bit deflated. The next day was more promising with a sale of 2 more pairs of baby botties, a headband and 2 beanie/cowl sets. I had to laugh, one lady said don't you think that 20€ is a bit too much to ask for a hat and a cowl. I replied nicely no madame I paid for the yarn to make the set, then I made it, I travelled here to sell them and the cost of my stand and other small thing need to be put into consideration. It was a fantastic experience and I met lots of interesting people. One Women was so impressed she took my card so in the spring I will maybe do an exposition of my work. I had questioned all weekend why a lot of people overlooked my stand, is it because I was selling the wrong kind of product, or that, anything that is knitted or crocheted is still kinda considered old-fashioned and people do not want to have things that their grandma makes. The main thing is I sold some items whether it as a little or a lot. let me know if you guys have any advice to the whole craft fair market I am happy to receive it. Until next time..........................
